After a lot of anticipation and excitement, the Indian Super League is back for its 6th season. As the ball gets rolling today in Kochi when the Kerala Blasters FC takes on ATK in the first match of the tournament, yet another season of hope waits the fans of the 10 clubs. With FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos being replaced by Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC respectively, we take a look at each of the 10 teams.
We will be looking at the squad composition and the transfer activities and try to analyse a bit about the possible tactics, formation and the expected lineup. In addition, we will also take a look at how each team’s pre-season went and against which teams they played. We also take a statistical look at the key players of the squad and who SportsKPI thinks will be the wildcard player of each side.
For the statistical analysis we have got our own SportsKPI Radar Plots, which on the basis of the player data gives a graph that indicates the players strongest skill sets by looking at the players key stats. The SportsKPI Radar Plots also helps to have a comparative narrative between similar players.
We also have the SportsKPI Goal Data that plots the kind of goals scored by some of the attacking players from the different sides.
On the basis of our analysis we also try to predict each team’s chances of making it to the playoffs. So let’s get the analysis started.
